We ended up here while our car was being serviced in Manteo after breaking down in Duck. Traveling with our little dogs had us a bit concerned, but the host assured us they were more than welcome. The guest room didn’t share a wall with the Owner residence, and we had great privacy. I didn’t even see the owners until we were leaving. The beds were comfortable, it was really quiet, and the place has unbeatable charm. There’s also a huge closet with lots of room for suitcases. Manteo is such a cute town, and I hope to come back for a day or two of shopping when we’re in OBX again.

We booked one night in the Sandpiper suite, then met Beth and saw how nice everything was, so we quickly added a second. We wished we could stay longer, but our schedules wouldn’t allow it. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Beth, for such an unforgettable visit. The suite was beautifully appointed, with two queen beds, a large bathroom with a tub and shower, a roomy closet, and a handy dresser with a mirror. Several windows brought in lots of natural light, while the curtains and shades made it dark enough for uninterrupted sleep. We also had our own private breezeway with a fireplace and TV. Mrs. Beth was incredibly kind and knew so much about the area. The inn is right in the heart of Manteo, within walking distance of restaurants and pubs. It felt safe walking at night, and was lovely for a stroll anytime.

Fresh baked cookies and the outdoor fireplace made our romantic getaway feel especially memorable. My husband and I adored the place. The room was wonderful, the service was exceptional, and we couldn’t have been happier.

We were in Manteo for a friend's wedding and found this lovely place. The room was beautiful and everything felt peaceful and quiet. There was a fire on the back deck, little goodies around, and the smell of amazing cooking in the morning made it feel like being at grandma’s house. The four or five friendly cats hanging out with you out back were a huge bonus for me. 😁 The Queen Elizabeth is within walking distance, along with lots of shops and coffee spots. We only got one night here, but I’ll happily find an excuse to come back. Amazing.

The owner was a huge help when I called early because of a scheduling restriction, and I felt warmly welcomed before I even arrived. That made the on-site experience feel even more elevated. My room was spacious and home-like, with comfortable decor that suited the place without being too bodacious. The tones and themes throughout helped me relax. Room service was nice. I was FREEZING in the room the whole time, though. I should have lit the furnace, but didn’t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even so, I had quite a wonderful stay and would do it again and recommend it to others.
