Celeste at the front desk made a big impression on me. She was warm, friendly, and seemed to genuinely enjoy helping people. She sorted out a couple of small checkout and vehicle accommodation issues quickly, and even went outside to photograph my license plate while I carried my bags to the room. Those thoughtful touches made the stay memorable. I’ve stayed here on two different trips, and both rooms were terrific. One had a lovely balcony, the other looked out over the inner courtyard. They were spacious, beautifully decorated, and carefully laid out, with some rooms offering balconies. The hotel has been newly renovated and was in pristine shape. The lobby is also lovely and roomy, with lots of seating for relaxing and breakfast. I’ll gladly stay here again when I’m in the Roanoke area.

We could walk to nearby restaurants and museums, and the location was excellent. The included breakfast was pretty good too. Our corner suite had a city view, lots of space, and was very clean. Our son loved having room to play, and the women at the front desk were nice and helpful. It was the first hotel where I felt comfortable just falling asleep, without bugs crawling around. Housekeeping came every other day, which was the only small drawback.

The staff were the biggest reason to stay, professional and excellent. It’s also an easy walk to everything and simple to reach from the airport. Breakfast is included and they do a very good job; parking is available too. The rooms are nice, and the air conditioning doesn’t freeze you out. Enjoy your stay.

The staff were all really nice, and I had a spacious, comfortable suite in a fantastic location. The problem was glassware. There were no glasses in the room, and when I asked at the front desk, they said they didn’t have any. The only cups were paper coffee cups. They sell wine and beer in the little snack shop, but there’s nothing suitable to drink them from. Wine in a paper coffee cup sounds awful, so if you want a glass at the end of the day, bring your own.

Apart from the room needing a little maintenance, we had a pleasant stay. There was a problem with the rate: the desk clerk couldn’t find the same price we’d seen on hilden.com, so we had to stand there and book directly through Hilton instead of using a third-party app to get the better rate.
