Courtyard by Marriott Rochester Brighton

By the third night, the bar felt like a neighborhood hangout, and the people there made my stay. Jason and I watched football on night two, after he'd served me a great meal and a cold drink the evening before. Mary cooked another really good meal, and the quesadilla was especially good. I first checked in with Nicole, then later met Nelle when I came down for silverware for a late snack. She kindly helped me out and shared a spiritual blessing I needed. After five hours of travel, it was a lovely welcome. Everyone made me feel like I was among friends. This was the best guest service I've experienced in my travels over these four evenings. The room and lobby were nice, and it seemed like a safe area, though there isn't much nearby or within walking distance. They're making upgrades, so I think the place will be nicer once the work is done. For Rochester, it might be my second or third choice, but not my first.

The shuttle drivers were courteous, and the ride from the airport was smooth, which made arriving easy. After a tiring red-eye, I was also grateful that the staff let me into my room early. Everyone was professional and pleasant without hovering. They even remembered my request for a feather-free room from my Marriott app, which I'd forgotten I'd entered, and took care to make sure of it. Breakfast and coffee were good too. I'd stay here again when I'm in Rochester.

Manager Chris took a lot off my plate by sorting out the room assignments and keeping my family close together without putting us where we'd bother other guests. Kojo was also very professional and either answered all my questions or found the answers. The service was nearly perfect, and I know I'll come back. I do wish they had a garage like the one downtown, especially for us southerners visiting in winter.
