Holiday Inn Express Rochester NE- Irondequoit by IHG

The staff were helpful, kind, and knew their stuff. The breakfast spread was amazing: hot pancakes from a machine, yogurt, omelets, two kinds of sausage, biscuits and gravy, milk, cereal, juice, muffins, bagels, and more. The hotel also allows pets, and the management was amazing. The place was really clean, with a faint smell of bleach in the air that I loved. I'd highly recommend staying here.

We paid in full for a standard room with two queen beds and arrived late at night. The hotel was sold out, so staff put us in a king room instead. We only found out when we got to the room and went back to the lobby to check. The staff member said we'd booked at a discount rate, which wasn't true and which he couldn't confirm, and that our booking party had only made a request, not a confirmed reservation. I showed him my confirmation for the two-queen room. He apologized and immediately changed us to a king room with a pull-out. Very disappointing for a big brand like this.

The exercise room has lots of good equipment, and the blackout material over the window makes the room very dark during the day so I can sleep. The air conditioner cools it down, and the staff I've met have been friendly. I'm staying here with my company through CLC. For CLC customers, they don't require a personal credit card deposit, unlike the other Holiday Inn where I stayed. It's a bit farther from my terminal, but the good things about this place make the extra drive worthwhile. I'd take this stellar hotel over a less-than-adequate motel any day.

I stayed here with my daughter for her birthday on 10/12/25. The staff were polite and accommodating all evening, and the pool area, lobby, and room were clean. I'd recommend this location.
