The staff did respond quickly when we reported the missing shower head and installed one, since there were no other rooms to move us to. Otherwise, there were several problems. Cable was out the whole weekend, and there were no smart TVs, so we had nothing to watch, including the background crime shows I like to sleep to. The dresser drawers also hung half open instead of staying shut. Breakfast was mediocre and the coffee was just okay. The toaster was broken, there was no milk all weekend, and the breakfast area trash cans were overflowing each morning. It seemed clean enough and could work if you just need a place to sleep before getting back on the road. Maybe the extra $20 for the Holiday Inn is worth it next time.

I was a very disappointed rewards member after three nights in two rooms with my two young children. There was no pool, sauna, hot tub, or TV entertainment, and even breakfast ran out of milk. The TVs never worked, and the trash in the breakfast area overflowed each day. Milk was still missing on checkout morning, though staff said it hadn’t arrived the day before. Walmart is right across the street, so the manager could have bought some. The desk employees kept apologizing but couldn’t offer a discount. I was texted on the second morning about my stay, replied with the problems, and was told someone would follow up. Nobody did. At checkout, the employee said there were no notes about my complaints, though I’d gone to the desk at least twice daily. When we checked in, the internet had just come back, but the TVs were out. We were told Comcast would arrive by 7 pm, then told the next day they’d come that day, but they never fixed the TVs. The sauna and hot tub were also out of service, and the pool water was ice cold because its heater had reportedly broken a week or so earlier. Each room had only two sets of towels for seven people. I had to get extra towels and bath linens myself after complaining. On our third morning, while we were getting ready for a wedding, there were no clean linens. They said towels might take over two hours, and though some were delivered to the room, it was too late. One room’s bathroom floor was filthy, and both rooms had broken dresser and TV stands held together with tape. There was no shampoo in the tub, just two conditioners. My daughters’ allergies and asthma were acting up. We turned over a pillow and found its case covered in BLACK MOLD. I took a picture. That’s completely unacceptable, especially for someone with asthma.

We gave this hotel another try a year after our first bad stay, but nothing had changed. The outside lights were broken, there were dead flies in the window, and the rooms were dirty. We asked to move because of the flies and got another room with exposed ceiling wires, torn furniture, dirty toilets, and lamps that didn’t work. The place needs care, and rooms shouldn’t cost $130 or more a night.

I’ve worked in the service industry for over five years, and I can’t see how either room we were given passed inspection. The first toilet was filthy with pee, and there were dead bugs and cobwebs everywhere. We politely asked for another room late at night, not wanting to inconvenience anyone. The receptionist understood, checked the next room, and moved us in, but it was worse. There was a live wolf spider on my pillow, which I quickly killed, webs throughout the room, trash tucked behind shelves, an even dirtier toilet, more dead bugs, and a stain on the sheet. We had a wedding the next morning, so at 10 pm we just put up with it. Noise from the hallway and neighboring rooms came right through. I felt dirtier leaving than when I arrived, and couldn’t relax. I can tolerate a lot and don’t usually get squeamish, but this was excessive, especially for what I paid.
