Hilton Garden Inn Rock Hill

I was in town while my truck was being repaired, and this hotel made the wait easy. The staff went out of their way to help, and my room was spacious. Breakfast had a different menu each day, and the bistro and evening bar were both good options. The bar serves local favorites and drinks, with a big patio outside, comfortable seats, and a fire pit. You can also order food cooked to order there. There’s fast WiFi and a printer for guests. Several restaurants are an easy walk away, with Target, Moe’s, Panera Bread, and Chili’s nearby. Palmetto State Cigars is about half a mile away, which was handy for me. It’s a beautiful place to stay if you need a room in Rock Hill.

For what it offers, I think this place deserves a four-star rating while keeping three-star prices. There’s a pool, a large fitness center, and a market shop in the lobby. Breakfast can be cooked to order or served buffet style, and there’s also a restaurant and full bar on site. The staff were very courteous and friendly, and ready to help with any issues. It’s also close to plenty of restaurants and retail stores.

I was handed a $30 bill for breakfast for my wife and me. The grits were lumpy, the sausage was hard and overcooked, and the service wasn’t friendly. They say guests are told at check-in that breakfast costs extra, but no one told us, and I didn’t see a sign. It felt like a setup.

Clean place, friendly staff, and a hot breakfast that changes each day. There are lots of food spots within walking distance and a shopping complex nearby. Good stay, and I’d come back.
