Distrikt Hotel New York City, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

They treated us so well, and the location was perfect, close to everything. We had a small air conditioner problem, but they fixed it right away. They even gave my three-year-old daughter a cute little bear that she absolutely adores. And they have the best vegan burger I've ever had. Highly recommend!

My husband and I came for my birthday weekend and had a great time. The staff made the stay feel special. Chrissy went above and beyond, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Pisces are the best! We're looking forward to coming back.

The location was the reason we booked Distrikt hotel. This was my second visit to New York and my partner's first, and we didn't expect the stay itself to be so good. The hotel is right among the main attractions. Our room on the 19th floor was spacious and classy, with a great view and a really comfortable bed. Chrissy and Robbie were especially welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. Everyone else we passed was lovely too. We'll definitely return and recommend the hotel to friends and family. Thanks to distrikt hotel for the hospitality. Chrissy, you're a gem, and you made this stay special for my partner.

The room was fine, though ridiculously small, and there was a picture missing from the wall with the hooks still exposed. The hotel is in a good location, and the staff were attentive. Robbie was fantastic, friendly, and engaging. Five stars for him, one for dining. This doesn't feel like a four-star hotel. The biggest problem was the extra cost, including a mandatory $29 daily “destination” fee that can be used for food. As a diamond member I also got a credit, but there wasn't a good way to spend either amount at the hotel. The dinner menu was mostly greasy-spoon food like cheeseburgers and bar appetizers. My wife is vegetarian, so we got fries, but they tasted as if they'd been cooked in hamburger grease. I hate wasting food, but we had to throw them away. Breakfast wasn't better, just basic options I'd call Hampton Inn quality. That's fine at Hampton prices, but not at a Hilton Tapestry property in NYC. If you're vegetarian or generally want healthy food, you'll struggle to use the credit. In New York I'd rather eat out than be stuck spending another $29 at a substandard diner. I don't understand why the fee is added when the room already costs NYC prices, and it wasn't clearly advertised on the site, at least not anywhere easy to see.
