In one day, my car was stolen, along with two cell phones, my wallet with $600, and credit and debit cards that were later used in the Quad cities. I was assaulted too. The person who took the car and attacked me was arrested after being found with the vehicle in Davenport, and still has an outstanding warrant in Rock Island related to the case. I recorded the manager refusing to give me a cup for water after the police left, saying they were out and didn't give them to people like me. The manager also hasn't confirmed or denied that I was at the hotel with police, even though the room was in my name. The rooms were filthy and full of bugs, and drug use was openly rampant. I wouldn't stay here, especially with a car. I like supporting small businesses, but not this one.

I paid $56 a night plus tax, and the room was clean, kept up, and everything worked. It was nice enough, and the people were friendly. The area seemed more established and a little old, rather than sketchy. My main requirement was being able to walk straight from my car to my room, and that worked out. If you stay, try the pizza place about a mile down the street.

The air filter on the A/C unit, shown in the posted photo, looks like it hasn't been dealt with for who knows how long. The place made both my girlfriend and me sick. I hate this hotel, and we could have found somewhere much better, even an Airbnb. If you book it, make sure to expose them.

We liked having a place to unwind so close to home, just 15 miles away. My husband and I are planning to come back for one of our little getaways. The room was roomy, clean, and well looked after, and I spent most of the visit in the heart-shaped jacuzzi tub. The vintage look, including the old tiles and window sashes, might put some people off, but it reminded me of childhood and I enjoyed it. There's no pool or breakfast, but that doesn't spoil the charm if you're after a good night's rest and a chance to kick back.
