The room was comfortable and clean, and the bed was better than I expected. I really appreciated the shower's good pressure. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly, even during a busy stretch, and seemed to care. I was there for a weekend event and had a pretty solid stay, with a few quirks. Some areas look worn, the elevators slow down when there's a crowd, and there's no free breakfast. Lobby coffee wasn't always available, which was annoying. The pool is large, but towels weren't always stocked. Parking was awkward at certain times, though I found a spot each night.

The WiFi was the one problem. My laptop kept dropping the connection, so I couldn't do a video meeting. Otherwise, I had a good time here for a convention. The bed was quite comfortable, the shower had good pressure and enough hot water, and the AC got pretty cold. The front desk guy was really nice, shoutout to Matt.

It's in a safe downtown spot in rock island, close to the historic district. There's a little Asian market nearby, and modern woodman is only a couple blocks away. The rock island ale house, formerly Bennigans, is also walkable and has a great lunch menu.

A shoddy hotel in the middle of nowhere, with two terrible bars across the street. We got only 2 towels for 3 guests, and the room had a damp, musty smell. No breakfast at all. Even Super 8 has breakfast. Never again. I can't believe this place gets any good reviews.

If being able to use the gym matters to you, don't book here. I chose this hotel specifically for its gym, only to find it shuts at 11pm and doesn't open until 6am. I've never run into that at a Holiday Inn before. Why have a hotel gym if it's closed at night? My regular gym stays open later, and the bar across the street is still open. The front desk told me the gym is connected to the pool, which makes the setup frustrating. She also mentioned Ultimate Fitness, which we can access, but that doesn't open until eight. I don't see how this works for business travelers who want to exercise. Please advertise gym access more clearly. The woman at the front desk was excellent and very helpful.
