Guest House 101

The unit was dirty and felt very unsafe. It connects to a private residence without any separation. I wandered into someone else's private bedroom, and at night there was no way to lock the door between our place and that residence, so the other person could have walked right into our space. The location was great, but nothing else was.

Maureen, the manager, showed old-fashioned hospitality, the kind you don't find in many chain motels or hotels these days. The room was clean and felt like home, and I was completely comfortable there. Great place.

It was hard to find the entrance, and getting into the house was confusing. The house felt creepy and looked nothing like the photos. At some late hour, someone had shut the laundry door from the inside. The beds squeaked, the toilets wobbled when you sat down, and the floor was uneven, pressing underfoot in some spots. I don't recommend it.

I'm really disappointed by the changes since the ownership changed. Making a reservation is very hard, and the prices seem inflated. I haven't stayed since the change, but my family and I came here several times over the years. It used to be cozy and family friendly, and they used to exceed expectations. Very sad.
