The room we’d booked had been destroyed by a previous guest, but the staff found us two rooms for less than the original booking cost. Great customer service. Special thanks to Wally, who really cared that we were looked after.

This is happening right now, and I checked in less than 48 hours ago. The sinks look like this too. There’s also a screw missing, and the grime is caked on so a towel won’t wipe it off. With the cleanliness issues and local police showing up so often, I’m not sure I want to stay here any longer. What do you think I should do?

Wally at the desk was a great find for this hotel. He was friendly, chatty, efficient, and kind. Our studio with a kitchenette was spacious and clean, and it had room for my insulin and the ice cream we brought back from Baskin-Robbins. It came with three pillows, so we went down for a fourth. The room itself was lovely. The breakfast description was clear that it meant coffee and snack bars, but I hadn’t read it all and had a minor hot breakfast. My other gripe was the $3.80 I paid for a small bag of chips when I got hungry in the middle of the night. The smokers were gathered right outside the doorway, four people standing and talking in a thick haze. I have asthma and my husband doesn’t smoke, so we noticed right away and had to walk through it to check in. If I come back, I’d drive by first to see if anyone’s smoking. There are about ten other places nearby with rooms.

Walmart is close enough to stock up on food and personal items, and the front desk has plenty of options too. The rooms were clean smelling, tidy, and had a pleasant atmosphere, so it was easy to treat this as a temporary home while my family and I relocate. Diana at reception has been such a sweetheart through booking and our extended stay. We had a couple minor technical issues, and manager Dan quickly came over and sorted them out. This is one of the best run places I’ve come across in a while, and I feel lucky we got to stay here. My one complaint is laundry costs $4 per load per machine. Still, it was an amazing experience.
