Staybridge Suites Rocklin - Roseville Area by IHG

I've been loyal to IHG for years and am a Diamond member, so this experience felt like an insult to my choice of hotels. During my two-week stay, the door locks kept making our keys expire within an hour. We had to get new keys at least three times a day, though other guests apparently didn't have the same problem. They only offered to move us on checkout day. I won't get into housekeeping, except to say you may need to ask twice or more to get your room cleaned. We went to Tahoe for a few nights while paying over $150 a night for the empty room, and housekeeping never touched it. When I raised these issues, they offered 5,000 points, which are worth nothing to me, and we were laughed at. This run-down hotel had a chance to fix things and didn't. There are plenty of other places nearby. Avoid it.

I spent a week here visiting family and had zero complaints. The room was great, the staff were awesome, and the indoor pool and spa were extremely nice and clean. Breakfast was complimentary and just right. I also liked the indoor gym, computer center, and dining room with a TV. I couldn't believe the washers and dryers were free, too. It's conveniently tucked behind a huge shopping center, only a few hundred feet away. Highly recommend.

The rooms were nice, and breakfast was better than at most places, though not as amazing as a continental breakfast should be. I booked two two-queen suites, but somehow only got one. When I asked about the second, none were available.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and there's shopping within walking distance. I liked the comfortable, clean room with a full kitchen, and the indoor pool and spa stay open late. Breakfast was tasty with lots of choices. They also had an evening social with appetizers and free beer.
