If you lose your key, you have to pay $10 for another, and if you’re locked out, nobody’s there to help until 11. The service and room were disgraceful, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. The carpet was dirty and smelled stale. Water kept dripping from the sink after I turned it off, took forever to heat up, and the toilet clogged from one tiny piece of tissue. The refrigerator wouldn’t get cold, only the freezer worked. The Wi-Fi was fine during the day but horrible at night, and I think the manager turns it off. Our door looked awful, and the light switch had a hole in it even though it still turned the lights on and off. The sheets were stained, and the cover had a hole from cigarettes or something else. They need to do better. No wonder it’s a two-star hotel, and the manager needs to hear about it. This is definitely a hood hotel.

I was evicted for being five minutes past checkout, even though I’d helped with cleaning. It wasn’t a pleasant stay. The place has no garden or suite, so they should change the name. My room was substandard, the heat didn’t work, and the cover fell onto my lower leg and made it bleed. There were no lamps or clock, and the TV wouldn’t change.

We paid $300 for two nights and won’t be back. The front desk man was rude and cursed at me, saying I was crazy after I told him the extra $10 charge was ridiculous. Checkout was at 11, but when we tried to leave at 10 to go to Walmart, we realized we’d left shoes in the room and had been locked out. I called the desk, and he said to come down so he could fix the key. I asked the woman at the counter if I could pay then, and she let me. The bill was $10 short, though I didn’t notice. Later, when I called for fresh towels and rags, the man said to bring everything at once and quit coming down. It was only my second trip. When I brought the items up to exchange, the woman said I still owed $10 because she hadn’t charged enough. I went back to the room for the money, then returned for the third time to pay. The man scolded me, saying no one should call before 11 and blaming me for the woman’s mistake. He also told me not to come back after checking out the next day. He needs to learn some respect for customers and how to talk to a woman.

The front desk guy was so polite and professional that I ended up chatting with him for an hour before my friend called down to ask where I was. The hotel could use some touching up, but the rooms were clean and comfortable. Customer service was 10/10. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting the convenience of a low-budget room without the usual low-budget inconveniences.
