Motel Miya

They canceled my reservation only two hours before check-in, saying there was a gas leak, and sent me to a partner property. At first, they wouldn't honor the rate I'd already paid, so I had to ask them to match it. Then my card was charged multiple times. They said the charges had been refunded, but I never got the money back and had to ask my bank to reverse the transactions. The alternative place they arranged smelled strongly of must and old smoke, making the stay even worse. A very disappointing experience with the property and its management.

I was skeptical going in, but the rooms were spacious and the place was very clean. The staff brought extra towels and a few other things we needed right away, and the cooling system handled those hot beach days well. My kids loved the bunk beds. We had a great stay and will definitely be back.

The kids and I had a good stay. Our room was clean, the AC worked well, and the larger room with full-size bunk beds gave us lots of space. The water was only a few blocks away.

The bunk beds worked perfectly for our family, and the King bed was incredibly comfortable. We especially liked the two fireplaces, which made the room feel cozy. The green color scheme tied everything together, from the towels and shower curtains to the bedspread, and the wall detailing throughout looked carefully and creatively done. We'll be back soon. It's become one of our favorite places to stay in Rockport.
