The Cove at Rockport Hotel

The location was great, the room was very clean and comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked well. Staff were extremely responsive, too. I’d booked a sea-view room because that was a big part of why I wanted to stay here, but the view was only partial and was visible only from the patio.

The location made it easy to stroll to shops, art galleries, restaurants, and cafes, and the walk itself was picturesque enough to feel like a Hallmark Movie set. Even with the chilly fall weather, I felt warmly looked after during my stay at The Cove in the last week of October. My room was serene and incredibly comfortable, with a luxurious bed and a stunning beach view. Hearing the waves crash made it even better. When I mentioned a small concern about the room, it was taken care of right away, and my stay turned out just as I’d hoped.

The room and location were superb, with thoughtful homey touches like complimentary snacks, a relaxing indoor common area, and blankets for cool evenings on the terrace. It’s an absolutely beautiful place. One thing did spoil it for us: the staff member working on the second day, 2nd October, was unfriendly. There was no smile or acknowledgement, and she was very frosty toward me. I’m not sure why.

We really enjoyed our stay and will come back, even though the room was small. It served us fine, had a great closet and drawer space, and the rooms were clean. There was a streaming TV and beach chairs to use. The bathroom was a bit cramped, with little space for hair products and similar things. The location is great, with easy parking and the beach directly across the street. Our room opened off the deck, a beautiful place to see the ocean and hear the waves first thing in the morning or at night. Checkout at 10:00am caught us by surprise, but they offered us another hour for free. It was hard to leave.
