The breakfast was a real highlight for all of us, especially the breads and the different options. My wife and I first stayed at the Claiborne 3 years ago for a show at Harvester, and came back recently for another one with friends. We were amazed by what the new owners have done. The renovations look fantastic, everything was clean and enjoyable, and the bed was very comfortable. The owners were super-friendly without hovering, and our friends really liked their room too. We’ll definitely be back.

Rocky Mount is such a charming town, and Claiborne House was a lovely place to stay for our quilt retreat. My friend and I had a spacious, comfortable room, and Karole and Paul were gracious hosts who made us feel welcome. I got a little spoiled by the fabulous breakfasts. I’d definitely stay here again.

The blue ridge suite was so pretty and quaint, and it was clean and comfortable for sleeping, from the bed to the temperature and peaceful surroundings. Robin was a kind, charming hostess, and I loved that she brought out her little darling chihuahua for my mother to hold when she found out Mom loves chihuahuas. Breakfast was delicious, too. This is one of my favorite B&Bs, with someone’s eye for decorating and real passion for antiques and esthetics visible all through the house. I’ve stayed at B&Bs where the decor fell short, but this one doesn’t. I’d highly recommend it and would come back.

The sourdough French toast and fruit cup were delicious, and the Amish cinnamon bun hit the spot. They’ve expanded breakfast to include organic and healthy choices, too. First rate all around, and we’re coming back in a week for Ozark Mtn Daredevils. The cottage is our favorite, and we were pleasantly surprised by homemade cookies, a selection of fine chocolates, and a little work desk with a chair. The fireplace was a welcome way to heat it, much quieter than the wall A/C & heating unit. They also added hooks for coats and clothes, and little touches like these make a difference. We have a Hyundai Ionic 6 electric vehicle, and they now have a compatible charger available. So tickled Claiborne B&B is open again. Karole & Paul have put their own touch on this fine preferred stay for shows at the Harvester.

Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and there are complimentary beverage stations available. This is a dog friendly B&B, with pet surprises waiting on arrival. The rooms are large, comfortable, and well equipped in a beautiful old home decorated with good taste. Definitely a place to stop when you’re in Rocky Mount.
