Marriott Albany

The room was nice, and I liked having a pool and gym. There’s no microwave in the room, though, so each time you want to warm up food you have to go down to the first floor. Internet was out for one night during my stay. When I checked out, their system was down, and they said they’d email the receipt once it was back. I called again 5-6 hours later, but the phone wasn’t working.

The bartender stood out, managing a full bar while staying friendly, attentive, and engaging. I had a cocktail and watched football after dropping my son off and taking photos at his school event. We visited the Marriott in Albany for the event, and it was a very positive experience. The entrance and shared areas looked clean and well kept, with a professional, welcoming feel. It was a comfortable, enjoyable place to spend some time, even apart from the event.

The staff gave us old school service, and even drove us to the airport, which saved us the cost of a car service. Claudio especially deserves a mention. He made my breakfast sandwich and was super, super friendly. The rooms are updated, the hotel is close to the airport, and everyone was very friendly. If I’m back in Albany, this place is definitely on my list.

The shuttle drivers, Kiem and Savour, were incredibly friendly, and Jennifer in the Lounge made us feel at home. Sharon(?) gave awesome service in the restaurant on Sunday morning. Thanks for a great overall experience. I last visited for business before Covid, and the hotel has had some very nice updates since then. It looks great, with a nicely upgraded lounge and restaurant.
