Hyatt House Bentonville/Rogers

The breakfast was terrible, with overcooked tater tots and sausage, frozen French toast sticks, no pancakes or waffles, and just an orange for fruit. There were English muffins but no bagels, and the tiny toaster could only fit one. The hot tub was out of order, and both the indoor pool and the room around it were ice cold. When I told the front desk clerk, she had nothing to say. Our first room had no hot water, so we were moved to one with a broken wall thermostat. The torn sheets and chair that looked like it came from Goodwill didn't help. Maintenance clearly doesn't seem to be a priority. This place isn't worth the money. Don't stay here.

The comfortable rooms and helpful staff made this an easy place to recommend. Our room was clean and had a living room with a kitchenette, including a microwave and refrigerator, and we slept well. The team was friendly and seemed genuinely glad to help. Breakfast is included, and one guest called the spread very good. For a morning person like me, that's a real plus. The hotel sits just off I-49, with straightforward access and plenty of parking. It's handy for the Bentonville/Rogers area, including the Walmart Arkansas Music Pavilion and the shops and restaurants at Pinnacle Hills Promenade. The setting is practical without feeling too busy. There's an indoor pool, a 24-hour fitness center, free WiFi in public areas, self-parking, and rooms that welcome pets. It works well for business, a Walmart AMP concert, or seeing the area. The rooms have useful comforts, the staff are warm, and I'd happily stay again. They even let you check in without bringing your houseplant.

Getting around is convenient, with Pinnacle and Uptown close by, though there isn't much else of note nearby. The hotel looks its age, as do the photos, and the offerings feel limited for a Hyatt House. There's a separate sitting area, but its furniture is worn and dated. The kitchenette has a small microwave, refrigerator, sink, and coffee supplies, which weren't replenished while I was there. My bedroom's HVAC was extremely loud and hard to ignore. The shower was only lukewarm at best, and the curtain was noticeably short. And the chair at the bedroom desk was awful!

The staff were so sweet and made us feel welcome throughout our Thursday-to-Monday stay. Breakfast was a highlight, with something different each morning, including bread pudding, cheesy grits, steel cut oats, and French toast, well beyond the usual bagels and toast. The location near the Greenway was convenient too. The place was clean, which helped make up for the lack of decor. It could use some updates, and the hot tub was out of commission, so maybe they're starting on improvements. Thanks for a great Staycation!
