The Anchor Inn and Marina

That deck and lake view were the highlight, whether we were having coffee as the sun came up or sitting outside once it cooled off at night. We stayed two nights in a king cottage. It was clean, with a well-stocked kitchen, and everyone working there was nice. The Tiki Bar across the street had tasty speidie sandwiches and a good mix of drinks. We’d definitely come back.

We’d stay here again by choice next time. The view was a bonus, and our room was clean with everything we needed. Some furniture had nicks and there were a few scrapes on the walls, like in somebody’s nice home, but it didn’t bother us. There was equipment and other stuff lower down on the property, though it didn’t block the view. We’d been camping when our tent flooded, and were driving around at night desperate for somewhere to stay. The staff opened up and gave us their last available place. We were so grateful. Definitely recommend.

Getting to downtown takes a short drive or a decent walk, though neither was a problem for us. We stayed in a cottage with the family and had a great view of the lake. It was clean and comfortable, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our first reservation elsewhere turned out to be a scam, so we were glad this worked out. We’d absolutely stay here again.

We showed up in Watkins Glen unexpectedly in early June after spotting this place on the map, hoping to grab a room. The motel was full, but they had one of the new cabins up on the hill. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The unit was delightful, with a full kitchen and BBQ, and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Get up early if you can, the sunrise over the eastern shore of Lake Seneca is worth seeing.
