They did move us to a clean room after we found the first one in such bad shape, but there was no upgrade or discount. The beds were horribly uncomfortable, and the heater/AC swung between too hot and too cold. Early in the morning, the unit made an annoying noise that kept us awake. At 8 am, workers started cleaning rooms around and above us, banging and making loud noises. We also got locked out when our room key was shut off early while we were taking things to the car. We had to walk around the building and get the card reactivated to finish collecting our belongings. Check-in itself was normal and fast. In the room, though, it immediately didn’t smell clean. The trash was overflowing with food, one bed had clearly been slept in, and there was a dirty washcloth on the other bed and another in the bathroom sink. Worst was the disgusting toilet. The room clearly hadn’t been cleaned or had its sheets changed before we arrived. If you’re not picky, and make sure the room is clean, I guess it’s okay for the price. We’ll never stay again.

The breakfast was nice, though I would’ve liked at least a couple of protein items. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was beautiful, comfortable, and well laid out. We also liked being able to use our own Netflix on the TV. The beds were the reason I took off a star. The mattress was low grade and hard, sitting on a metal frame that stuck out past it, so it was easy to hit your shins. Still, I’d recommend the hotel. It’s good value for the price.

I booked through Dayuse, which I’d used before without any problems. This time, when I arrived, they said they didn’t take Friday or Saturday reservations and needed to check with the manager. The manager approved it, but then they required a $150 cash deposit on top of the room payment. I’d never had to pay that before. They said it was only for locals, and the front desk associate said they didn’t understand why local people would rent a room for a couple of hours. There could be any number of reasons, and I shouldn’t have to justify them to the desk. The associate was extremely rude the whole time. I’ll never book here again or suggest anyone else do so.

Clean, safe, and friendly, with low prices. It’s not fancy or luxurious, but it’s a decent place to stay. I checked the bed for bugs and, thankfully, found none. I stayed one night in room 131, checked out, then came back for a night in room 139. No bugs in either room. I’d stay here again.
