MainStay Suites Rogers - Bentonville

A fantastic property, very clean and quiet, with exceptional staff. It's a touch dated, but the amenities make up for it. Free drinks at happy hour and bike rentals are a nice touch, as is the good free coffee downstairs. The half-off coupons for area restaurants are useful, and the shuttle was very quick both to and from the airport.

After our long 4hr drive, the shower's strong, hot water felt great. But the room wasn't clean when we arrived, so we used our own supplies, stripped the sheets, and put our own on the bed. The living room air conditioner blew colder air than the one in the bedroom, and the fridge never got cold even though the freezer worked. It was a last-minute booking, so there weren't many choices. Some breakfast trays hadn't been refilled when we went downstairs, and it took too long, so we left without eating.

The room was very clean, with comfortable, good-quality bed and sheets, and a large suite refrigerator. Breakfast was good, with oatmeal, scrambled eggs, quality bacon, biscuits and gravy, plus milk, yogurt, juice, cereal, English muffins, chocolate muffins, bagels, and fresh fruit. The breakfast staff were very nice and attentive. The breakfast room is small, with tables close together, so if you're worried about covid, I'd take breakfast back to your room. The bathroom only had cheap shampoo and a bar of soap. I had to ask the desk for conditioner, though they did have some. The walls are thin, and the plumbing was loud all night, especially when neighbors flushed. The outside pool is very tiny; we didn't use it, that's just an observation. Apart from those things, it was a very nice stay and place.

The location is within walking distance of lots of places, and the hotel shuttle can take you anywhere. Staff are friendly, and breakfast is free, though pretty basic. The rooms are nice and have a small kitchen. In my second-floor room over the pool, people talking outside woke me up, and I could smell people smoking from bed. The shower head wasn't screwed in all the way and sprayed water everywhere. The A/C wasn't very good in one room where the thermostat was connected to the unit. The other room, with a wall thermostat, worked much better.
