Courtyard Rome Riverwalk

Eunice was lovely to chat with while she served us drinks at the bistro bar. We were visiting our daughter at Berry college, and she made the trip that much more enjoyable. The rooms could use updated lighting, but all in all, it’s a good place to stay. Thank you, Eunice!

The hotel looks nice, but it didn’t seem well cared for or well run. The water pressure in the shower was awful. At check-in, the hostess wasn’t very friendly or honest, and said she’d put us in a nice room. Instead, we had a parking-lot view rather than the river, a broken piece of furniture, and something nasty spilled on it. We went back to report the problems, and she moved us to another room. I first tried to contact local management instead of posting this review, but they ignored my request to speak with someone. Maybe writing here will get their attention.

The rooms looked excellent and quite new, and the beds and couches were really comfortable. The lobby and bar area were great too. Desiree was especially kind, helpful, and fantastic with customer service. Marriott, take special care of her! I’d give six stars if I could. Thank you, Desiree!

The hotel is nice and in a great location, but it wasn’t worth the money, especially on a “low occupancy” weekend. Since my immediate family was traveling with me for the Holidays, I splurged on two rooms for two nights. We felt safe, and the views were nice. The rooms were dated but clean and comfortable. The website listed a restaurant with breakfast and snacks, a bar, and Starbucks drinks. We went looking for breakfast yesterday and were told there was no food service because of “low occupancy.” My adult daughter also couldn’t get Starbucks because that service was closed for the same reason. No one refreshed either room. When my husband called down this morning asking for coffee pods because we’d run out the day before, they said he could come to the front desk to get some. Maybe he should’ve gone down in a towel. The fridge wasn’t mini, it was micro. It could fit two or three bottled drinks at most. The only employee we saw was at the front desk. It’s a shame, since the hotel itself is nice. I’d recommend the Quality Inn instead. It costs much less, has great customer service, and includes a decent free breakfast.
