Radisson Hotel Detroit Metro Airport

The shuttle was convenient, and the staff seemed really nice, but I was disappointed with the comfort, cleanliness, and quality of the room. My flight was canceled, so I was booked here, and the rooms looked much nicer on the website. The chair had what looked like beef jerky on it, and there was a pill and debris on the floor. In the bathroom, the wallpaper was discolored, the cabinet paint was peeling, and the shampoo holders in the shower looked grimy. The beds were completely worn out and sloped to one side. It feels like the hotel is about 10 years behind on renovations. They advertise breakfast, but the restaurant is closed on Mondays for some reason.

We brought our whole team here for a hockey tournament, and the staff were so accommodating. They gave the boys a place to play where they wouldn't be too intrusive to other guests. When we had an early game one day, the staff opened the breakfast buffet early. We'd definitely stay again.

The staff were always checking whether we needed anything, and a few even came up to tell the boys they were cheering for them. We were here for a hockey tournament, and they made room for our team dinner and had breakfast ready for our early games. It was a great experience. If we come back for another tournament, we'll definitely try to stay here again.

We only stayed one night because of a canceled flight, which was fine, but I wouldn't recommend staying more than two nights. My college dorm room was better. The curtains were broken, there were no overhead lights, and it was pretty dark at night with only the table lamps. I'm not sure whether the AC worked, but my husband and I were sweating under the covers. I don't know how this got four stars, honestly.
