Sheraton Detroit Metro Airport

We only needed a room at the last minute because our flight was delayed. The lobby looked nice, and the hotel is very close to the airport with an efficient shuttle. But the sixth floor smelled awful, and the carpet was really dirty. Opening our room door brought a wave of cigarette stink that nearly made us vomit. We asked to move, but a very kind staff member only sprayed air freshener, which did nothing. We turned off the AC and left the balcony door open just to get some air. The cigarette smell and dirty carpet made this a no for us. 🚬 👎 🤮

We stayed one night on 5/2/26 and will come back when we're in Michigan, which is pretty often. The hotel was nice and our rooms were very clean. I'd asked ahead for two rooms next to each other because I was traveling with my 87-year-old mom. The request hadn't been honored at first, but Jasmine at the front desk worked hard to get us side-by-side rooms. I really appreciated that. Thank you, Jasmine.

I told the employee at check-in that I had a vehicle. He was nice and gave me a good room, and said he'd make sure it was added and that I'd be charged. I took that to mean the roughly $10 or $11 parking fee would go on my folio, and I was fine with paying it. Since it was my first time at this property, I wasn't told I also had to scan a QR code for parking. Now Towne Park has mailed me a notice saying I owe $75. Please train the employees better.

Getting to the hotel from the airport was easy, and it's also close to Dearborn and the surrounding areas. The design is beautiful, and our balcony room had gorgeous views from inside, including a view of the indoor pool. The lobby felt clean and fresh as soon as we walked in. Staff were helpful and nice. I'd definitely recommend this Sheraton.
