The night girl at the front desk was amazing, and the price was worth it for a place to sleep before an early flight. Breakfast starts at 6:30, though, so we left too early to eat. The hotel has a lot of potential if they make upgrades, but at that point I wouldn't pay what they ask just to sleep before a flight. Take the good with the bad, I guess! We heard a couple fighting all night through the paper thin walls, and the curtains had a huge gap that let outside light in, so we couldn't sleep. The room wasn't the cleanest, and the mattress was old and dingy, but there were NO bedbugs.

The first room looked like it hadn't been cleaned after the previous guest, but they moved me to a much better one. The hotel is a bit outdated, though the beds were comfortable and it seemed kid friendly. Breakfast was delicious, and it was a nice place for the price. I'd stay again.

We had a great stay for an affordable price and would come back to the area hotel. Its location felt very safe, close to the airport and a little far from downtown Detroit, but still convenient. The employees were friendly, and our newly remodeled room looked great and was very clean for the most part. The bathroom vent was caked in dust, though, which seems like it should be part of regular room cleaning. The hotel is older and being updated, and parts of the atrium, including tiles on the water features and around the pool, show their age. The atrium has an indoor pool, greenery, water features, the breakfast area, and lots of seating. I came here specifically because it's an old Holiday Inn Holidome and brought back a lot of childhood nostalgia. They could lean into that vintage feel more by swapping some extra seating for mini golf, a playground, arcade games, a foosball table, or similar things. There's a deposit, so be aware. Breakfast was very basic even for a “budget hotel.” Maybe we caught them on a bad morning, but there were very few options, no yogurt or muffins, for example. The coffee was good. I'm excited to see future improvements and hope they keep the Holidome's vintage charm.

Eve, hope, and the other ladies made the night so much easier while I had a handful of young teenage girls with me. One even came to the room to help with the TV. I asked for their names so I could mention them here, but I can hardly remember what day it is, lol. They're welcoming, professional, nice, and helpful. Supervisors, please take care of them. They were absolutely wonderful to us. I stayed on a Saturday night Jan 10th, after getting a room for my daughter's birthday. The place is clean and affordable, and I'll definitely come back.
