Rodeway Inn Macarthur Airport

The location worked for us, both for the airport and for the family celebration 15 minutes away, and the guy at the front desk was pleasant. But the website photos are very misleading, and I expected much better. We paid for a nonsmoking king room for three nights, and got that, but the room was tiny, with old furniture and decor, a small microwave, and a small fridge that was enough for two. The king bed was comfortable, though the pillows were awful and the sheets didn't fit properly. The room smelled very old and like cigarettes, so I used the Lysol I had. The carpet was extremely dirty and old. We were afraid to take off our sneakers, and I wore my own slippers. The bathroom was an awkward rectangular shape and barely fit us, even though we're a slim couple. The shower was small, there was no coffee machine, the phone didn't work at all, and the TV was small. Outside always smelled like marijuana. At night we put the ironing board under the door handle to feel safe. There's not much nearby except Moe's. The site says there's coffee at the front desk, but the machines didn't work for all three nights, and there was nothing for breakfast. I guess you get what you pay for. I'm not a happy customer, wouldn't recommend it to family or anyone else, and won't book here again.
