Roseau Motel

After a four-day trip through very hazardous blizzard conditions, we arrived in roseau with two kids and two kitties for a job opportunity. The man at the front desk, who I assume was the owner, was friendly, accommodating, understanding, and helpful. He worked with us on our position, gave us an amazing price, and kept checking that our welcome to the community was going well. The rooms aren’t as nice as at other hotels, but the service and the people in charge more than make up for that. I highly recommend staying here.

The food was good, the waitress was nice, and we were served promptly when we came in on 2/29/2024. Everything tasted good, and someone in our party left a very nice tip. A few days later, I spotted an extra charge in my bank app. The waitress had added another tip for herself. I called to speak to the manager, but she wasn’t in. The woman who answered was actually the waitress from that day. She said this "accidentally" happens sometimes and apologized. I was told the manager would call and make it right, but I never got a call, and no one there is answering the phone today. Keep an eye on your card charges. It’s not really about the money, but if extra charges are being "accidentally" added for every few customers, that’s a pretty good side hustle. Do better.

Stopped at Diner for supper and brought some home because the portions were so generous. The Dumplings, Potato Bowl, and Hot Pork Sandwich were AWESOME, and the service was outstanding. I also LOVE being able to pay at my table with Google Pay.

Just keeping it simple and hoping they see this. This is about the restaurant: there was only one cook in the kitchen, and the food took a really long time, probably because of that. Two waiters seemed to be doing nothing, and the least they could’ve done was offer refills. One waiter was really nice and did ask, though it took her a long time to get to it.
