The Train room had a box that had belonged to a guest back in the 19th century, and there were lots of other old family pieces still being used around the house. Sheri was kind enough to show us around in the morning, and we really enjoyed breakfast. She and her family have restored and preserved this distinctive old home so thoughtfully. I'd happily stay again.

We slept comfortably, and the bedrooms, bathroom, and shared areas were all great. The owners made us feel welcome with how thoughtful and kind they were, and breakfast was delicious. The house has been restored with real care. If history interests you, this is a place you should stay.

Sheri can tell you about the history of this Gothic-style house, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. She rents out three rooms, and the garden in the backyard is lovely. It's an inviting place to stay. Just be aware that pets aren't allowed, it isn't accessible for people with disabilities, and the stairs up to the bedrooms are steep.

Getting up the steep stairs is something to keep in mind, but we had a wonderful three-night stay. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, and the breakfasts were delicious. The house is well kept, and our room felt comfortable and inviting. I'd recommend it to anyone who can manage those stairs.

The rooms are beautiful, and the house still feels original. Cherri, JqHer, and Mike make the place, its history, and the people connected to it come alive. They're extraordinarily amazing.
