The room itself was fine for my one-night stay on 2/19/26. I also paid $350 for extended parking while I was away. When I got back from Europe on 3/3/26 around 10 p.m., I was dropped off at the hotel, loaded my luggage into my car parked outside the front entrance, and discovered the catalytic converter had been cut off the exhaust system. After 18 hours of travel, that was a terrible end to the trip. I went inside and asked a manager to call police. There were other people ahead of me, and she helped them first. I spoke with a bartender in the attached restaurant to ask about cameras, since the hotel has none outside. He said this was an ongoing problem. I then spoke with manager Alicia A, who took an incident report and hotel liability claim. She said the hotel had also had its own vehicles targeted and that it was an ongoing issue. She gave me a copy of the report and her card, along with GM Sandra W's card. The hotel never called the police, so I did it myself. The Rosemont Villiage officer was kind, took my report and photos, and said I was his third visit there that week for this ongoing problem. I had to drive 200 miles home with the exhaust cut off. No compensation was offered, not even a room for the night or a refund of the parking fee. I’ve since left Sandra W a voicemail and still haven’t heard back. The stolen components will cost over $2,000 to replace. Given what hotel staff, restaurant staff, and the police told me, I feel the hotel is neglecting guest and vehicle safety. I wish they’d warned me about the theft problem. If you care about your safety, belongings, or car, don’t stay here. Proceed with caution.
The location is good, with several places to eat across the street. I’d suggest Ostras for its great happy hour menu and good cooking. Just be ready for prices here: parking starts at $22 a night, wine is $15 for a 6 oz pour, and an omelet costs $30 and isn’t that great. The mac and cheese is terrible. Pretty much everything at this hotel is expensive, actually overpriced.
The shuttle to the airport starts at 3:30 a.m., which is hard to beat. Breakfast begins at 7, so you can eat before leaving, and the ride to the airport is about six minutes. We were here overnight while in transit, and it was great. They upgraded our room because of an issue on their end, and we were happy with it. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed.
Changing rooms was a frustrating process: we had to pack everything, return the old key at reception, then collect a new one instead of moving directly to another room. That felt rigid and inefficient. The promised upgrade had the same outdated bathroom, with only slightly fewer problems. In the first room, the fire alarm was hanging loose from the wall, curtains were missing, the walls and furniture were damaged, and stickers were still on the door. The bathroom looked decades old, with a fabric shower curtain, an old tub, and a sink so low that anyone over five feet tall would find it uncomfortable. The duvet looked unwashed, and cleanliness overall fell below basic hotel standards. When I reported the issues, the front desk apologized but blamed housekeeping, which didn’t feel professional. The whole property seemed badly maintained and outdated. Service lacked accountability, and the facilities need serious renovation. Given the price and hassle, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
The location was perfect, very close to the airport. It was clean and quiet, and I loved that they use full-size products instead of little minis. I’d definitely stay again.
