The staff were helpful with my daily requests to print paperwork, and my dog and I had a good trip. I’d be glad to visit again. The hotel is pet friendly, with a walking trail behind it and the two other hotels. They accommodated my request for a room near a door because my dog has incontinence. The $25 dog charge was a one time fee, not per day, which was a really nice surprise. The Minnesota vet school is about 9 minutes away. The place itself was nice, but it hasn’t been looked after as well as I’d expect for a five year old hotel. The desk and chair in my room were damaged, and the floor by the bathroom door could’ve been cleaned better. Also, the dog waste bin was empty, which was a bummer.

The beds and pillows were so comfortable that we slept really well. All three front desk staff we met were professional and helpful, and made the place feel like a home away from home. I’ll definitely come back. One thing I’d like to see at breakfast is hard boiled eggs. There was lots of fruit and carbs, so eggs would be a helpful protein choice for guests with gluten or dairy sensitivities. They also sell snacks and drinks by the front desk.

The room was clean and had modern amenities, and the Avid hotel staff made a reservation mix up easy to sort out. They were happy to help. Had a great stay.

The bathroom wasn’t clean, which I can’t accept, and the front desk worker was neither sober nor professional, even allowing for the late hour. I wouldn’t recommend this place. I’ve stayed with a lot of brands this hotel seems to compete with, and this one falls badly short by cutting too many corners. The room was about half the size of the usual room in the same class, and it lacked amenities a business traveler would normally expect.
