Fairfield Inn by Marriott Roseville

The beds were extremely comfortable, and the room was clean. The A/C and TV both worked well. It looks like an older property, and it shares its parking lot with two sister Marriott hotels. The shower curtain was too short, so water got onto the floor, and the bathroom lighting could've been brighter.

I meant to write this last year. Sutter health put my family up here when we were losing our son. My wife, our 1.5 year old daughter, and I were treated with incredible kindness. Staff prepared the room for us and stocked the fridge with milk and food for our daughter. I needed to repair our son's truck in the parking lot before driving it across the country, and the staff even offered to help. I'm sorry to the other guests who were bothered by me working on it. The room was clean and ready for us, and the staff were absolutely wonderful people.

I was left out in a storm after arriving around 5pm, and by about 9pm, with no ride and nowhere else to turn, I had to call Uber. I'm around 60 and a senior, and I don't live at a hotel with anyone nearby to pick me up. I was shocked they told me to leave. Between the hotel and Uber, I lost a total of 595.00 dollars, nearly my whole SSI check. I'd paid 405.00 for 4 days, but the hotel said it no longer accepted tap to pay for bookings or deposits. I'd stayed there several times and had my card on file, using my phone and card before without a problem. The 405$ was already paid, but I hadn't completed the deposit. I offered two other cards and even had 200$ in my pocket, but staff rudely refused every payment and kept the full 404$. They were rude and unaccommodating, especially with me having no other options. I wouldn't recommend this place. Yesterday, the hotel emailed to say I'd broken the rules by smoking in my room. How could I have done that when I never even got a key?

We stayed 12 days while dealing with a family emergency, and the staff did everything they could to make things easier for us. They accommodated our family in multiple rooms as we kept extending the stay. We came to recognize who worked each shift. Everyone had their own personality, but each person showed real care for guests. My family is so grateful for their kindness. Thank you! 😉🤗
