Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Rossford - Toledo South

We brought a large group here for an event nearby, and were happy with the rooms and the service. Sarah at the front desk was especially helpful when we checked in. There was a bit of confusion about sales tax for our school, but she handled it professionally and sorted it out quickly. The location worked out great for our event.

For a reasonably priced place on a road trip, this was better than I expected. The room was comfortable and clean, I felt safe, and the location was decent. I liked having a small fitness room where I could move around after a long stretch of driving. Its window looks straight into the pool, though, so people swimming kept making awkward eye contact with me. The pool and hot tub looked like a nice extra, but I didn’t try them. I just saw people using them from the gym, lol. The free breakfast looked decent too.

The rooms were comfortable, the location was good, and the price was reasonable. What really stood out on our one-night stay with my two kids was the service from Lina at the front desk. We had a problem as soon as we got to our room, and she took care of it right away. Every time I went back to the desk, she was cheerful, warm, and answered all my questions. This might be my first hotel review, but I felt I had to mention how well she treated us. I hope management recognizes her work with guests and considers her for a promotion.

The location was handy, with lots of shops and restaurants close by, and breakfast was small but had some nice choices. I appreciated that they had tea and coffee, though the hot water container was broken and its lid wouldn’t stay on. Staff knew about it and still left it out for guests, so someone could get burned. The room was basically clean, but there were dirty handprints on the doors and stains on the wall. We cleaned and sanitized it ourselves. The garbage cans were way too small, and we kept hauling trash down to the lobby. The beds were awful. Our backs still hurt two days later, and the loud wall heater and cooler made it hard to sleep. There was also noise from the hot water. That lack of sleep was rough for the two competitive cheerleaders in our group who had to perform. Some back doors took a while to shut, and we had to pull them closed so they’d lock. Maybe the cold weather affected them, but it felt like a security concern. The TV channel selection could be better, too. We stayed two nights and wouldn’t come back because of those beds.
