Clarion Inn & Suites Roswell

The rooms are huge, split up like a living room and bedroom, and both the room and bathroom were clean. There’s also a cool flying saucer model in the parking lot, which fits Roswell. But the breakfast was pretty weak: greasy, low quality sausage and watery scrambled eggs, with waffles, muffins, bagels, and dry cereal. I arrived the day after the big January '26 winter storm, and after three days the sidewalks still hadn’t been shoveled or salted. Walking from the car to the door was actually treacherous. The lobby smelled strongly of Indian food. Nothing against Indian food, but hotel lobbies shouldn’t smell strongly of anything and should be neutral. The hallways were uncomfortably cold, enough to make me wonder if someone had left the back door open. The desk drawer handle stuck out about four inches and poked into my stomach the whole time I sat there. Who thought that was a good design? Logging onto the internet from a laptop or FireTV was difficult, and each time it tried to get me to sign up for the hotel company’s points program. The hot tub was only half full, at least it was hot.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. During a two night stay, I was moved between three rooms. In the first, I found hairs in the bed, which made me think the sheets were from the previous guest. I let that go until I found the sink clogged when I went to shower, then the front desk moved me. In room two, I went to shower and use the restroom and found poop on the toilet. The night front desk person said she’d have housekeeping clean thoroughly. The next morning I told the morning lady the same thing, and she said she’d get it cleaned. When I got back from work, the poop was still there, so they moved me again, to a third room that was no cleaner. I checked out Wednesday with no refund and no apology. I was only told the owner was out of the country and nothing could be done. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE.

We chose a Deluxe Suite while traveling as a family, and there was plenty of room. The suite was spotless, with a wonderfully comfortable king bed and a separate sitting area where we could relax. The coffee maker and free, reliable WiFi were handy too. It felt like a home away from home.

The lobby is enormous, and the pools were really warm. My son Shaun and I had a blast, and I made some new friends along the way. You can feel the great sense of community as soon as you walk in. I had a great experience here!
