Americas Best Value Inn Roxboro

For what they provide, the price is fair. I’ve stayed here more than once over the years, and each visit has been decent. My rooms have been clean, without odd smells or bugs, the trash gets taken out every day, and they bring fresh towels just about daily. I’ve seen some really sketchy hotels during my career, so I appreciate that.

The rooms are wrecked, the phone goes unanswered, and there’s usually nobody at the front desk. I’m going to try Budget Inn across the street next time. Don’t bother.

The cleaner did a good job, but the manager was unfriendly and rude, and the rooms were dirty. If you stay over, they don’t change the beds. Just a really bad experience.

We were really let down by our two-night stay. Water from the shower ran onto the floor regardless of how we positioned the showerhead, and the controls worked backwards at both the shower and sink. There were dark stains on our sheets that I hope were something else. We told the manager about all of it, but he seemed completely uninterested. We’ve been customers of Americas Best Value Inn for a long time, so this was especially disappointing. We’ll have to spend our $90 somewhere else. 😢
