We stayed for three weeks and the room worked really well for a long internship or business trip. Having a kitchen and full-size fridge was appreciated, and the fridge even makes ice. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only two things we didn’t care for were the powdered eggs and the uncomfortable pillows. Otherwise, it was perfect for us.

Everything worked out well for us. I booked directly from Germany, and the hotel was a nice choice close to the university Darden, especially for the final graduation ceremony. There were plenty of parking spaces, too. If I return to Charlottesville, this would be my first choice.

We’ve come here many times over the holidays because the location is good. The rooms are beginning to show their age, and this time we had to switch rooms because the shower control didn’t work. Breakfast is so-so, especially the powdered eggs. Watching the pancake machine is the best bit. Meh.

The room was clean and looked after, though the shower pressure could’ve been stronger. Service was another matter. Check-in was meant to be at 4:00 p.m., but our room wasn’t ready until 4:40, so we waited 40 minutes. The hotel clearly wasn’t prepared for the crowd coming in for the Luke Combs concert.

I was in town for one night while interviewing at UVA. The room was spacious and had a kitchen. At check-in, Kathy picked up that I was traveling alone as a woman and made sure I got a safe room. She was discreet about saying my room number in front of other guests, and I really appreciated her awareness and kindness.
