Budget Lodge Ruidoso

The lady who helped me was very sweet, and the service was excellent. Everything was clean, and it was a quiet, lovely stay. My kids were excited about the free breakfast every morning :)

My husband and I mostly just drink coffee for breakfast, but what was served was very good. We were surprised by how nice and clean everything was, with the rooms and outside both well kept. The staff were really nice, and for what we paid for two nights, we got more than expected. The walls were a little thin, so we turned the TV up and left it on. We'll definitely come back.

The bed was really comfortable, and I slept well. The TV had plenty to watch, including Prime Video, Netflix, and Tubi, and the room had a mini fridge, microwave, good lighting, and USB ports in the bedside lamps. It was a nice budget-friendly place, but a few things made the stay less comfortable. Parking was scarce; when my wife and I returned, there were no spots near our room, so I had to park partway in front of the office. Our first room also had water pooling by the heater. We called the office and were moved to another room without any trouble, which I appreciated, though the leak looked like it could become a hazard. Later, three young men were hanging out in front of a room late at night, playing loud music. I assume one had rented it, and they may have been taking up parking too. They made us uneasy. The business should have a clear, enforced rule about loud music and hanging around outside the rooms so guests feel safe. There was no iron for our wrinkled clothes, either. I can't call the stay perfect or entirely bad, so three stars feels fair. Maybe I'd come back, but with so many choices, it wouldn't be my first pick.

Mudra at the office was warm and helpful, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The rooms are older, but they've been renovated and look nice. We had a great night in Ruidoso, and the location worked well for us. We'll stay here again on our next visit.
