I was in the area for business and would stay again. The place was quiet and very clean, and I was impressed by the staff. Breakfast was free, and the fitness room was nice. The woman at the front desk was especially friendly, and we had a laugh when I checked in.

The room was spacious, and being off the highway meant we got the convenience without the road noise, which worked well since we were visiting friends and sites rather than watching TV. Service was excellent and the room was clean, but the toilet didn’t flush well. The TV was on furniture instead of mounted to the wall, and its brackets seemed too weak for its weight. They’d bent, the backboard was tilted forward, and the screen pointed down and to one side. The AC ran constantly, yet the room still felt more humid than the sister hotel in Bradenton.

We got a clean room with nice beds and cold AC once the room issue was sorted out. Our first room didn’t have a bathroom door, so I called the front desk and they moved us. There are plenty of food options nearby, and they accept one pet. Late checkout was a bit disappointing, though, since it’s only available to Diamond level members.

I hated this stay and won’t be back. The place feels privately owned and poorly maintained, and it wasn’t worth the money. There was still hurricane damage in some rooms, and cigarette smoke hit us as soon as we walked in. Next door, an alarm went off every few minutes starting at five in the morning, on a weekend. I woke with a headache and a stuffy nose.

The staff were great, and the room was spacious and fine. I liked the shower, but the bed felt worn out and wasn’t especially comfortable.
