Quality Inn Ruston

We were moved through three rooms because none had been properly cleaned. It looked like the sheets had just been pulled back up and the beds remade after the previous guests. They also charged a $100 deposit, something I’ve never had to pay for a room in my 56 years. There are much better options.

They showed us real hospitality during a difficult, stressful time. Around here, most hotels price gouged during the ice storm, but this one didn’t. That says a lot about how they run their business. I definitely recommend them.

My room had been reserved a month earlier. They called to verify a change to my card information, and I told them I’d be late because my son had a football game in East Texas. The man I spoke with said that was fine as long as I arrived before 5 a.m. After driving three hours, I got there at 1:18 a.m. and found my reservation had been canceled. He’d completely lied, though he had my card number right. The nice woman at the front desk worked with me, but it was too late to find another room. I’ll stay at a different hotel Saturday night.

The bed was uncomfortable, the floor felt slick, and the bed cover had stains. The room smelled bad, there were no USB connections, and half the electrical outlets didn’t work. I give it no stars.
