Extended Stay America Suites Meadowlands Rutherford

I needed a little break from my caregiver job with elderly people in New York City, and this felt like home away from home. It was so calm and peaceful, and they even let me have an extra hour and a half to sleep with late checkout. Destiny and Precious were wonderful and accommodating, and Dawn the housekeeper was cheerful and lovely. Thanks so much, Extended Stay, for making me feel welcome and giving me a memorable mini vacation. I may come back ❤️❤️❤️ Signed GK today 3/8/2026 at 12:39pm

The room had a small kitchen and a full-size fridge, and it was close to shopping and The American Dream Mall. The suite itself was spacious, but although it’s listed for up to 6 people, the sofa bed is too small, so I’d say it fits 5 at most. They only provide two washcloths and require you to return them to get fresh ones, so bring your own. There’s no pool or separate sitting area, and the only bathrooms are in the rooms. Breakfast is oatmeal, granola bars, muffins, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. With my children, this would be my last choice when traveling.

The manager is very kind, and I’m grateful to everyone, from the front desk team to the manager. Precious, I miss you! The staff were amazing and showed empathy during a very rough time in my children’s lives and mine. I hope you all have safe, happy holidays and a Happy New Year! A happy update from me: my Protection Order went through, my divorce was finalized the day before my birthday in November, and the kids are doing amazing. Sending love to everyone, and taking positivity into the new year!

Anything we’ve needed has been taken care of quickly, and the location manager always asks how we’re doing with a genuine smile. Precious, Destiny, and the other front desk agents have been so friendly and welcoming. I really can’t say enough about how kind and attentive the staff have been to my family.
