That little balcony over the park was such a nice spot, and having several restaurants within walking distance made getting around easy. I stayed for three nights around Christmas Eve while visiting friends in Madison. The hotel looked lovely, with Christmas decorations adding to its charm. My room was spacious and comfortable, especially the bed. Breakfast came out fresh and hot each morning, and there was a good choice of coffee and tea available any time. Parking was easy to find, with plenty of spaces.

The staff were so kind, and the breakfast room was beautiful. I only stayed one night, but had a great experience. The place was clean and lovely, with a comfortable bed and a shower with great pressure. There was lots of parking right outside. 10/10.

The breakfast downstairs is simple, but it was handy when we needed to get on the road early. It isn't a B&B-style spread, though it works in a pinch. They aren't connected with the spa, salon, or restaurant at the back, but are happy to help with reservations. The rooms feel private and cozy, with plenty of space, big bathrooms, and a fireplace that works in season. The beds are really comfortable, and the inn is in a lovely, walkable downtown area.

Being close to the wedding events and local restaurants made our weekend easy, and parking was a breeze. We stayed at The James Madison Inn on September 20th for a wedding. Check-in was quick and welcoming, and everyone we met on staff was warm, professional, and keen to help. Our room was spotless, nicely appointed, and very comfortable, with plush linens and quiet halls that helped us sleep peacefully. The lobby was inviting, and the property has a special boutique feel while still being convenient. Breakfast was fresh and well-stocked, and the team worked around our timeline to keep things stress-free. It was a great home base for a busy wedding weekend. We couldn't have asked for better and would recommend The James Madison Inn for a wedding visit or a relaxing getaway.

My family and I stayed in the Bonar Hall Suite, which had loads of room and a huge balcony. The entire Bridal Party stayed here and got ready for the wedding. The location worked out so well: Amici's for the rehearsal and Variety Works for the wedding were both within walking distance. Everyone was friendly, the breakfast bar was great, and the place was extremely clean. Thanks for a great stay. We'll be back!
