There was a moldy smell in the room, though it wasn't awful. The beds sat low to the floor, the pillows were comfortable, and there was hot water. The staff treated us well, but they took our water bottles out of the freezer. I think they assumed we weren't coming back. Be aware that you can't get a refund. It does the job if you just need somewhere to stay while on vacation.

The owners were polite, and the neighbors stayed quiet. Our sheets and bathroom were clean, the heater worked, and there was hot water, though the water pressure was low. We watched HULU on the small swivel-mounted flat screen, but only limited episodes of our favorite shows were available. The old wall-mounted AC wasn't needed. Still, I was a little shocked by the room. It smelled like a musty old farmhouse, everything was dated, and it could use a real facelift. The wood laminate floors were hard to keep clean. The beds were low and firm, with matching bedspreads and curtains that looked like they might be from the 60s. There were no pictures on the walls. The bathroom shelf was very worn, with badly scratched glass, so we covered it with a washcloth to feel sure it was clean. For two nights, including taxes, we paid almost $300, which the room wasn't worth.

The room wasn't very clean; dirt came off the floors onto our socks. The AC was yellow, didn't work, and gave off a rancid mold smell as soon as we turned on the fan. My partner and I are both allergic to mold, and we were sick the next day. Without the AC, the room was very humid and we were miserable all night. We won't return.

The deadbolt jammed in the morning, and even two grown men pushing and pulling from opposite sides couldn't get it open. My associate had to wake the owner, who came with a key to let me out. The coffee was meant to be ready at 6:30 a.m., but it still wasn't ready after I got out. We booked two rooms. They were sparse and had a slight mold smell. No hair dryer, clock radio or iron, and no ironing board either. We paid the most for the fewest amenities.
