Newport Beach Hotel & Suites

The rooftop hot tub was super awesome, and the massage we booked was pretty good. The GM is a great guy, down to earth and understanding. The cleaning staff were friendly and probably just understaffed. Still, the suites building needs a serious deep cleaning and refresh. We stayed off season in a one bedroom suite, and it was just okay. The rooms are dated, and I was disappointed by how dirty it felt. Grease covered the cabinets, something had spilled down the refrigerator, the whirlpool tub was disgusting, and when I started it, all kinds of nasty stuff came out. The curtains had gross orange stains along the bottom, rugs were sticky and dusty, and food from the previous stay was still in a cabinet. The dryer seemed like a fire hazard: there was no lint trap, just dryer sheets stuffed where it should be, with open wall and insulation beside it. The hallways weren't vacuumed once during our stay, and the pool area had food and random stuff left all over the ground. Breakfast is continental, nothing fancy, but does the job when you're in a hurry. The parking lot leaves much to be desired. There'd been a blizzard days earlier, but it was still packed all weekend with no spaces left. I can't imagine it in summer. The location is great, but I wouldn't pay in-season rates, and I don't think I'd come back.

The breakfast was delicious, and we took a quick walk to a lunch spot to meet up with an old friend. We came in late on Monday night, and the girl at the front desk welcomed us with a cinnamon scent and a lovely voice. Then she gave my son warm chocolate chip cookies, and I felt so welcomed. We went straight to bed. Our two rooms had an adjoining bathroom, crisp sheets, and cool AC, so we were happy. The entrance was clean and cheery, decorated softly with beachy things. We'd stayed here a long time ago, and this two-day visit didn't disappoint at all. Thank you!

The bathroom didn't have any toothpaste, which was my only issue. The room was extremely clean, and the front staff were friendly and welcoming. I loved the quaint, relaxing atmosphere and would highly recommend this place. Other than that, it was perfect. 10/10 ⭐️ 🌟

Charlotte at the front desk was personable, efficient, and knew the area well. I watched her check in two other guests, and she gave each of us her full attention. One of the BEST front desk agents I've ever seen, THANK YOU Charlotte!! The hotel was incredibly clean and perfectly located, with the beach right across the street. We had a delicious complimentary breakfast, then walked along the beach with our coffees.
