Exit 5 Motel & Cottages

The room was clean, but the doors barely shut and the bed was rock hard. We were only told just before closing that the office shuts at 9, even though we weren't due to arrive until 10. They chose to leave the room unlocked, which didn't feel safe, and I couldn't find that office-hour information anywhere in their listing. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place.

The online photos gave a very different impression from what we found. There was food under a table, the window screens were torn, and the bathroom was dirty enough that we went to a store for cleaning supplies. The urine smell still wouldn't go away. I wouldn't recommend it.

I booked in June based on completely fake photos for Motel Exit 5 Saco, Maine. The room was filthy, with blood in the bathtub and mold throughout, and switching rooms didn't help because the next one was just as bad. I came home with bed bugs and became very ill, and I'm still seeking medical attention. I later found out, while looking into how to get my money back, that the microwave had been used to cook meth and crack. There was a huge tournament going on, so I couldn't find another motel or hotel. Bookings and the motel haven't helped or returned my money. I want my money back, and I'm filing complaints with social media apps, review sites, and the BBB.

The kids had a great time at the pool, playground, and game room, and the owner was attentive. We booked two rooms for me, my boyfriend, my son, and three younger kids. The grounds were beautiful, and we had no complaints. The WiFi was a little slow, but they were fully booked, so I expected that. We were happy to spend less time online and enjoy the family trip. We left this morning and are already looking forward to coming back next year.
