Not bad for the price, and the amenities were about what you’d expect. The Wi-Fi worked alright, and they stock coffee in the lobby in the mornings, though it’s a very bare-bones setup: just powdered half-and-half and Sweet'N Low, with no sugar, stevia, or other creamer. There’s no breakfast. My fridge smelled a bit, like it could use deodorizing.

We’d stayed here before, but won’t be coming back. Staff were nice, but $500 for 3 days was ridiculous when breakfast isn’t even offered. The room was dirty and moldy, the shower head didn’t work, and there was mold around the shower. Sheets had stains of who knows what, paint was peeling and drooping with water damage, and only one lightbulb worked. The carpet felt crunchy and the room smelled awful. I felt dirty staying there. It was the nastiest, most ghetto motel I’ve been in. If I’d known, I would’ve booked somewhere else.

Update January 2026: The neighborhood feels above-average safe, and the location is even more convenient than I expected. Original: I’ve only looked closely at this one room so far, but my King Room was a great budget stay: simple, clean, and everything worked, from the microwave, fridge, TV, HVAC, plumbing, outlets, and lights to the bed, linens, and Wi-Fi. No signs of insects, and the staff I met were helpful and upbeat. Outside, the budget motel looks pretty grimy, with cigarette butts scattered around. Breakfast used to be available, and third-party booking sites may still list it by mistake. There is coffee in the morning.

After spending the Summer of 2025 traveling in and out of Southern Utah for custody reasons, I stayed at nearly EVERY cheap motel in St. George, including this Rodeway Inn. The difference was clear. I can’t recommend Antonio and his team enough. I’ve stayed here more than a dozen times, and he’s been kind, polite, and accommodating at any hour. After stays at many properties, I appreciate that he remembers customers are what keep a business going. The rooms aren’t “nice,” but they’re above average for motels here: bigger, carpeted instead of linoleum, with full-size bathrooms and full cable selection for tv. The location is right in the center of town just off Flood Street and St. George Blvd, perfect for family outings at Vernon Worthen Park and the St. George Rec Center, both 1 block away. I’ve had problems at other cheap hotels in the area with cultural misunderstandings. At least 3 tried to charge me later for a “pet deposit” or “nightly pet rate” even though I had no pet. I have a prescribed Emotional Support Animal (ESA), which doesn’t qualify as a pet under the law. I had to show prescriptions to front staff and dispute charges with my bank. Another property tried charging me more than $150 extra because my children slept in my room. They said I hadn’t listed my kids, which was true, but I had listed all adults, my wife and me. These were simple misunderstandings with staff unfamiliar with the culture. There are a couple of disappointments. They don’t offer breakfast, unlike the other Rodeway Inn. They even sell an optional breakfast add-on that gets you nothing, which is confusing and a major letdown. The pool is great when open, but there’s no hot tub. I don’t understand why the owners would excavate a pool without spending about 10% more for a hot tub. Even Motel 6 has one. Life isn’t perfect, and neither is this property, but I’ll definitely return. Our family can’t thank Antonio enough for his great service.

Everything was good, and I had no complaints until a cleaning woman walked right into the room about an hour and a half before checkout, without knocking or warning. It was strange, especially since the lock meant to stop someone walking in had been violently ripped off a while ago and still hadn’t been fixed. Besides that, it’s a good place to stay. I’ll choose it again over the other spots in the area.
