I feel safe here, and I always get a good night’s sleep in the super comfortable beds. The staff are very friendly, breakfast is free every morning, and there are no parking fees. It’s a full buffet, not just continental. I paid $159 a night over the Christmas holiday, which felt very reasonable for a luxury hotel. I love this place and it’s the only hotel I’ll use when I visit my son in Salem. I can’t say enough about it.

After our show, we had a happy hour cocktail at the restaurant, and getting there on foot was easy thanks to the convenient location. The Grand Hotel welcomed us with warm cookies at check-in, and the lobby was nicely appointed. Our room was comfortable, and we enjoyed relaxing in the pool and hot tub. Everything felt clean and quiet. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and well organized, and there’s a great parking garage right on the premises. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we’re in Salem, Oregon.

The room was spotless and nice, the hotel was well located, and breakfast was a step above average. But a loud low motor-like rumble made sleep impossible, even with the earplugs they provided. It didn’t die down enough to be barely tolerable with the plugs until 4 AM.

This is my favorite place to stay in Salem, with friendly desk staff and a clean, secure feeling. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, with a sofa, a couple of chairs, and a great L-shaped desk that would even work for a card game. The in-house restaurant is perfect. It’s easy to walk to downtown or a show at the Elsinore theater, and the free covered parking means you don’t have to think about your car. Already looking forward to coming back.

Russ was the highlight of my trip. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. I travel for work often, and arriving at The Grand was a pleasant surprise: clean, comfortable, and friendly, with outstanding customer service.
