Sleep Inn & Suites Belmont / St. Clairsville

Everyone was very kind, and they even gave us a cup of milk on the house when I wanted cookies. We were both sick during a 24-hour road trip and needed somewhere quick to rest. Booking online was easy, and we got a king room with excellent shower pressure. Breakfast was included and hit the spot. It’s a shame they’ve lost business since the Loves across the street opened. We were more impressed here than at the Airbnbs and Holiday Inn Expresses we stayed at on the way. Highly recommend.

A weather-related change of plans led us to stop here, and it turned out to be a pleasant find. The room was clean and comfortable, and service was great. Breakfast had a good range of choices. They also kept coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available all evening, which was just right after a long drive. I’d stay again.

The front desk woman was really nice, but the rest of the stay fell well short of what I expected. Wi-Fi was unreliable and spotty, so working here is out of the question, and the cell signal was awful too. The rooms and the hotel’s overall look both need a complete facelift. Breakfast was terrible, except for the apple and orange juice. I don’t understand the high rating and won’t be back.

This Sleep Inn in Belmont has had some of the best rooms I’ve found among the Choice Hotels properties along I-70. I travel this stretch of Ohio often to visit family, and it’s a handy overnight stop for me. The rooms are modern, updated, very clean, and well maintained. It’s beside two major gas stations, and the one across the road has a 24-hour Subway, which was convenient since I arrived late. I’d happily stay again.
