Residence Inn by Marriott Salisbury

My Executive Suite was comfortable, with a cozy couch, a fireplace I loved, and a cute towel animal on the bed. The room felt a little dated and could use a remodel. I was slightly early, but the room was already ready, which was a nice surprise. The women who checked me in, whose names I believe start with T and D, were warm and gave me a few perks, including a fun wheel spin for extra points. As someone who travels often, I really value service like that. The friendly staff alone would bring me back to this Residence Inn in Salisbury, MD. Thanks, ladies, you made my day. This was a halfway stop on our weekend trip for the Cache Across Maryland geocaching series. The staff were extremely attentive and even asked if anything in the room needed attention so they could tell maintenance. We travel a lot, and that was a first for us, in a good way. It really showed they care about the business.

Everything was great, from booking the room to speaking with staff on the phone, and it carried through in person. The young man at the desk went out of his way to accommodate my family and me. A young woman also made sure we were okay and had what we needed, and suggested places to eat and things to do. I was very pleased with the hotel and staff, and I’m looking forward to coming back.

My home had no power or heat, and at 34° it wasn’t livable. I walked in without a reservation, and the front desk manager got me checked in right away. The service was excellent, and my room felt like a little apartment. Thanks to both ladies who checked me in and out. When I was leaving, the manager chipped away the huge iceberg in front of my car so I could get out. The maintenance person had plowed in all the parked cars.
