We ended up going to a La Quinta that night instead of staying in this filthy place. The room they moved us to, at the same rate as the King Suite, had a dangerously dangling fire alarm, no bathroom supplies, wasn't clean, and had an uncovered light fixture. It felt unappealing and nowhere near worth the $86.50 I'd already paid. We also looked at the other room, which was just as dirty, with public hairs in the tubs, grimy walls, and floors that seemed unvacuumed or poorly vacuumed. It was ironic they wouldn't let our dog stay in the room we found too dirty for ourselves. Even if they had allowed it, we would have turned it down. Jimmy at the front desk was nice enough, but said our pet couldn't stay in the Suite Room even though the website said they were dog friendly. He offered a pet-friendly room for the same King Suite price, and we accepted because we just wanted a room. Please give me a full refund.

The bed was great, with awesome memory foam, and the pillows were average. Service at the front desk was good, and breakfast and the appliances in the room earned a star too. I'd consider coming back for the price and service, but the maintenance and safety problems kept it from getting the other two stars. The pool was cloudy, with chlorine pucks lying around, and the door to the chemical and pump shed was open. The faucet wasn't secured to the counter, the bathroom light didn't work, and there was no smoke detector in our room. Under the stairs sat a tampon and random chairs, and many rooms were packed with spare junk furniture. Mattresses were pushed against the windows, and the ceilings, walls, and carpet looked worn. I hope they're remodeling. The highway wasn't too loud, but the AC was. That bed really was great.

We had a clean room and decent breakfast, but there wasn't enough to make up for the service. Staff weren't friendly. At check-in nobody greeted me, so I had to start the conversation. The ads say there's a pool, but it wasn't working. We'd reserved a double room for three and only had towels for two. After our first night there was no housekeeping, and when I went to the desk for more towels for an extra day's stay, the staff member didn't say a word, even after I thanked him for the supplies.

UPDATE: The manager said the $45 of makeup I say was stolen wasn't enough reason for a full refund, so I'm only getting one night's refund. I contacted corporate again, and someone is supposed to call me back. This is ridiculous. Earlier, I asked for a full refund and was turned down. I stayed here for a school function, and the room was filthy: the shower was dirty and clogged, the carpet was dirty, the bed was falling apart, dust was everywhere, and the walls had grime on them. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. I reported the shower and had to ask multiple times for help. They wouldn't clean the stuck-on stuff, saying it was glue from the bath mat that wouldn't come off, and offered to cover it with another mat. Classmates reported black mold, dirty underwear, and dog food in their rooms, and nearly everyone in my class had complaints. I also couldn't find my makeup anywhere else, so I believe it was stolen, though I didn't want to accuse anyone unfairly. The front desk said security footage showed the housekeeper leaving with only cleaning supplies. I told them I didn't believe that, and when I asked to see the footage, they wanted a $50 fee. I was disgusted and disrespected, and lost $45 worth of makeup. I'm in touch with corporate. This place needs to be shut down.
