The rooms are a bit worn, but everything worked, and for the price that was fine. We were on the third floor at the back, far from the elevator, and heard very little traffic despite the busy road nearby. The halls and building were quiet, too. I appreciated having security in the parking lot at night. We tried the hot breakfast once and had no complaints for something included. When we needed fresh towels, one call was all it took, and they arrived at our door five minutes later. The staff were polite. No-frills, but a decent place to stay.

Walker is easily the best breakfast cook at any hotel I've stayed at, and I've stayed at two resorts. During my recent visit, Walker greeted people with a real smile, kept the food stocked, and offered help without being asked. That kind of care made breakfast a delightful start to the day and improved my stay. I really appreciate the effort and attention Walker brings to the job.

The bathroom was in poor shape, and breakfast was only adequate, with some broken equipment. The coffee smelled like it had been sitting for a week, and I don't think they made a fresh batch while I was there. Worst of all, the room was freezing during the winter storm. The AC was running when I arrived, and the front desk said it would take an hour to warm up. It took all night. I had to ask for extra blankets.

It was quite a rollercoaster for a two-night stay. On the first morning, a loud alarm kept going off in the lobby with nobody turning it off. The staff also had me sign at least half a dozen waivers at check-in, covering things from personal safety to car vandalism. That doesn't exactly put you at ease. The first 30 seconds after entering the room, black or grey water came out of the bathroom sink tap. The only TV I could use was Roku live TV, with no cable or satellite. Previous guests were still signed in to several streaming accounts, so remember to log out yourself, because the hotel won't do it for you. The Wi-Fi wouldn't authenticate, so I had to use my phone hotspot. If you miss the parking entrance, it takes 10 minutes to circle back because of the freeways and restricted access.
