The Club Level made mornings easy, with a tasty breakfast and snacks and hors d’oeuvres available from 6 AM to 8 PM. Staff in the Club Room kept everything stocked, cleared used dishes quickly, and kept the tables clean. We also had a great weekend thanks to a really coordinated team at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio. I’ve stayed at the Grand Hyatt for the TMEA convention nearly every year since it opened in 2009. It’s a handy location for Convention Center events. Self-parking was full this weekend, so we used valet instead. Jarrod and Patrick were friendly and quick whenever we needed the car. Our room was warmer than we liked, but the building engineers adjusted the thermostats and got it cooler. At the World of Hyatt front desk, I asked about upgrading. They explained that the website had shown an option that wasn’t actually available. After looking around for a few minutes, and what I can only assume was a little magic, they found us a nice smaller suite and included Club access at no extra charge.

We liked the quieter feel of the Grand Hyatt River Walk San Antonio and the room amenities. Using GOH worked out great: we got an executive suite upgrade, free breakfast, late checkout, free self-parking, and no destination fee. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a downtown San Antonio stay. The service was warm from before we arrived through checkout and getting our car from the garage. Stacy answered my questions beforehand, and the young woman at the front desk, whose name started with an “A,” checked us in. Housekeeping and valet were welcoming too, and everyone made us feel special.

Valet made the whole experience great. They brought our car right up front and were kind and helpful. Patrick and Sonte deserve a shout-out. Patrick was always running over to help when we came or went, and Sonte kept finding us spots where security could keep an eye on the car.

I spent a week at the hotel, and Esther did such a good job cleaning my room each day. The little extra touches made it feel homey. Getting there was a nice experience too. My valet driver checked my details carefully and handled my bags, then the front desk welcomed me. The bellman made sure everything got to my room while I hurried off to a meeting. When I left, Brian arranged bell service. Patrick, Saul, and Xavier from the valet team were upbeat and carefully secured all my luggage in the car. Definitely recommend the hotel.

The Grand Room was worth the price if you qualify to buy the benefit. Valet costs a steep $70, and self-parking is only $10 less. Jay P. And David at the valet station were very helpful. Great stay overall.
